What is Cepheo Global Data Management

Introduction

Managing the data streams and information flow in large enterprises is a great challenge to a lot of companies with multiple subsidiaries.

Cepheo Global Data Management (Cepheo GDM) provides a solution that will guarantee consistency and provide a controlled environment in which data can be aligned and maintained.

The Cepheo Global Data Management solution provides a generic interface, allowing you to replicate data from one company (called the global company) to a number of companies (local companies) in a Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365FO) installation. Thus, maintaining the unique identifier across companies, and thereby securing consistency and global identification.

On each record Cepheo GDM allows fields to be either globally or locally administered in order to facilitate company specific variances such as currency codes, vat setup, delivery terms etc.

The Cepheo GDM module provides an alternative to sharing data in D365FO as it contains a controlled replica of the data in each company, and thereby providing a dataset being aligned and ready for running analysis using Business Intelligence.
