Introduction

CEPHEO Process industries for D365FO is an advanced and highly specialized solution for companies within process manufacturing, which builds upon the comprehensive functionality available in Microsoft D365FO.

This document describes the features: CEPHEO Shipping Packaging Management, for keeping track of internal/external shipping packaging material, outbound as well as inbound:

This will cover features such as:

Setting up packaging types to define the physical packaging

Setup up sites and warehouses to contain external on-hand

Handling shipping packaging for outbound and inbound orders

Handle settlement of packaging accounts

Handling shipping packaging for packaging pools

Handling shipping packaging for carrier

All the above, and more, is described in detail in this document.

The elements in this module are not related to any of the standard D365FO packaging elements such as containers in the Warehouse module.

This module is however part of a collection of modules, that all together is the total offer from CEPHEO for the Process industry running D365FO, as ERP platform.

This module is a stand-alone module and does not tecknically depend on any other modules from the CEPHEO offerings for process industry.

When all modules are installed, the overall production flow is designed to support all processes shown in the following figure:
