Example: Create new customer

When the Cepheo GDM settings have been defined, it gives the possibility to maintain data from one master company and replicate these data to local companies, based on the criteria in the setup.

Below is given an example of creating customers from the global company and pushing to a local company.

In the following example it is shown how a new customer is entered in the global company "USMF" and pushed on to the local company "USSI".

  1. Click New button on the All customers list page in company "USMF"
  2. Fill in customer details. Set Terms of payment to "Net10" in order to show in below section, how default values setting works.
  3. Click save
  4. Click Contacts->Add contacts on the All customers list page in company "USMF" and fill in contact details and save.
  5. Click: All customers -> Global data management -> Push data

  1. Select records, and company and click the Push button.
  2. Verify the new customer in the local company

Go to the local company (USSI) and open the new customer pushed from the global company.

Note that it is not possible to click on the normal New customer create button, because the Cepheo GDM it is now done on the Global data management tab and create data button.

Customer contact has been created in the local company, because of the Related tables setup, where we entered the relation on the Customer table to the Customer contact.
