Populate custom table

Activate this button to populate Asset management work order data and job data to the custom table "AdSei Work order schedule line", which is used in the Asset management mobile app and for handling work order jobs and status updates at the work order schedule lines.

Enable status line change

Activate this parameter to enable the feature for updating the status at the work order schedule lines.

This will enable users to manually update the status at work order schedule lines in D365FO and in the Asset management mobile app.

Soft delete

Enable soft deletion of open maintenance schedule lines having an expected start date before todays date.

This will prevent deletion of open schedule lines which makes it possible to continue working with "delayed" schedule lines.

Overide Activity Name

If set to yes, you may decide how the activity name (purpose) is made when a new activity is created from Asset Management. If set to no standard Microsoft wording will be used.

Overide Project Name

If set to yes, you may decide how the project name is made when a new project is created from Asset Management. If set to no standard Microsoft wording will be used.

Project Dimension

If Project Dimension is selected in the drop down menu, you are able to select how project ID financial dimension is set on the work order job line.

Update type

Select how the project ID financial dimension is applied:

  • None - Standard behavior from Microsoft is selected
  • Current - Use the project ID that is created for the work order/job line
  • Parent - Select the level above the project ID that has been created as dimension
  • Root - Select the very top project in the project structure, regardless of number of substructures

Activity and project name constructor

When Overide Activity Name and/or Overide Project Name is set to yes, a name constructor grid becomes available. This grid lets you build the activity name (purpose) and the project name from a sequence of building blocks, rather than using the standard Microsoft wording.

Each line in the constructor represents one part of the resulting name. The parts are combined in the order they appear in the grid, and you can mix fixed text with dynamic values from the work order.

Field
Description

Sequence

Determines the order in which the building block is placed in the resulting activity or project name.

Source type

Select whether the building block is a fixed text value or a dynamic value fetched from the work order, for example work order number, asset, functional location, or work order description.

Value / Field reference

Depending on the selected source type, it will use the ID or text on the field selected. For field type space you can use alternate text instead of just a space.

Separator

Optional character(s), for example a hyphen or space, inserted after this building block and before the next one in the resulting name.

Add the building blocks in the order you want them to appear in the final name. Use the Separator field to make the resulting activity or project name easier to read.
The name constructor only applies when the corresponding Overide Activity Name or Overide Project Name parameter is set to yes. If set to no, standard Microsoft wording is used and the constructor grid is ignored.
