Formulas/BOM's

When working with formulas or BOM, information of the yield and variable scrap will be inherited from the item number when creating new formula/BOM lines with the product, but the yield and variable scrap values can be changes for the formula/BOM lines. Yield and variable scrap have the same interaction on formula/BOM lines as for released products.

Figure 117: Setting up yield for a formula (NOTE: Can also be setup for BOM lines)

When using yield on the formula/BOM line, the calculated gross quantity and calculated net percentage will be corrected accordingly for the line.

For the formula/BOM version the following summarized information is available: (Pre-requisite is that unit conversion must be setup from the BOM/formula items unit to the inventory unit of the manufactured item)

FieldsDescription
Gross quantityTotal gross quantity (where the yield is taken into consideration) of all formula lines, calculated in UOM for the formula/BOM version to be produced where the yield is taken into consideration
PercentTotal of percentage of all formula lines (only used on Formulas)
Net percentageTotal of net percentage of all formula lines (only used on Formulas)
QuantityTotal quantity of all formula/BOM lines, calculated in UOM for the formula/BOM (Pre-requisite is that unit conversion must be setup for BOM/formula items)
IndexGross quantity compared to quantity (in %) - Quantity x 100/Gross quantity

A fact box has been added to the Production order form, that also shows the information for the current production order:
