Formula Yield Extension

When working with formula and formula lines (or BOM and BOM lines), use of the term ‘Yield’ has been introduced. Yield can be setup for items, formula- and BOM lines and formula (standard only on the version for Formulas).

Yield expressed on the formula lines i.e., are used to set up how much of the raw material used for a formula/BOM line, which is expected to be part of the finished product.

Example:

1,25 kg of raw material is added to a production/Batch, and during handling or processing 0,25 kg is wasted. Therefore, only 1,0 kg is ending in the production.

The yield for the raw material will then be 1,00/1,25*100 = 80%

The yield is to be understood as the reciprocal value to waste.

When creating a batch or production order, information of yield is copied from the formula/BOM lines to the batch/production order lines and can be changed for the formula/BOM lines.

Changing the yield information for one or more batch/production order formula/BOM lines, will update the summarized information for the batch/Production order. Yield and variable scrap have the same interaction on batch/production order formula/BOM lines as for released products.

The summarized information is available for a batch/production order as part of the information for the fast tab ‘Update’ in field group ‘BOM quantity.’

When working on the production order list page [Production control / Common / Production orders / All production orders], a fact box is available with information of the BOM quantity for the selected Batch/Production order.
