Maintain Label Translations for Packing Slips Sales Orders

Packaging Management labels on packing slips are printed in the language specified on the packing slip.To support additional languages, users can maintain translations for:

  • Packaging Management labels
  • Packaging type id names
  • Packing slip form notes

If a translation is not available, the system uses English (en-us).

Path: Inventory management > Setup > Shipping packaging management > Label translations

Use this page to maintain translations for standard Packaging Management labels:

To add a translation:

  1. Select a label.
  2. Create a new translation line.
  3. Select the language.
  4. Enter the translated text.
  5. Save.

Note: As a first time use button "Generate standard labels". If no translation exists for a language, the standard EN-US label is used. There is possible to set up a custom label for EN-US as well.

Maintain Packaging Type Translations

Path: Inventory management > Setup > Shipping packaging management > Packaging types

  1. Select a packaging type.
  2. Click Translations.
  3. Create a translation for the required language.
  4. Save.

The translated packaging type name is printed on the packing slip.

Maintain Packing Slip Form Notes

Path :Accounts receivable > Setup > Forms > Form notes

  1. Select or create a note for Sales order - packing slip.
  2. Specify the language.
  3. Enter the note text.
  4. Save.

The note matching the packing slip language is printed.

Printing Results

When a packing slip is printed, the system uses the language stored on the Packing Slip Journal.The following elements are translated according to that language:

  • Packing slip form notes
  • Packaging Management labels
  • Packaging type id names

If a translation is unavailable, English (en-us) is used as the fallback language.
