Product data sheets and batch certificates

CEPHEO Process Industries for D365FO introduces a new framework to dynamically create documents relevant to customers, vendors or regulatory authorities. Three document types can be generated, each containing common or different information related to the product with a layout and content dependent on the setup. The framework also includes language support for all contained data, so that printed information can be presented in all chosen languages and automatically be selected before printing, depending on customer settings.

  • Product data sheet: This is a generic document that relates to a D365FO product and it contains the product attributes and their values as specified for the product. It can be used as a product data sheet and sent to customers and vendors before an actual agreement is done.
  • Batch certificate of conformity (BCoC): This is similar to the product data sheet but will contain selected product attributes and their values related to a batch product for a customer or a group of customers.
  • Batch certificate of analysis (BCoA): This is a more specialized document that is unique for every batch, as it also contains the batch attribute values deriving from the quality analysis of the batch. Normally, a customer would get the BCoC, but in special cases they may want to pay an additional fee for a detailed analysis or have specific requirements for test result values.

The documents can be printed from a sales order line, for certificates the setup (Certificate type setup) will determine what type of certificate will be printed.

As BCoC and BCoA can only exist for a batch product, it is possible to print them from the batch overview as well Quality\Inquiries\Dimensions\Batches. When selecting certificate, it is possible to select a customer number which according to the setup, will decide whether it is a BCoA or BCoC.

The same is the case on the sales order line, where it can be printed, if the sales order holds a reference to one or more batch numbers. The Batch printed is the ones being usen on the inventory transactions for the selected sales order line.
