Setup of tracking number group

Dawid Kaczmarek Updated by Dawid Kaczmarek

Setup to control setting/updating the manufacturing date, is done for a tracking number group. Tracking number groups can be found in [Inventory management / Setup / Dimensions / Tracking number groups]

For each number group, parameters for updating the manufacturing date can be used, if the allocation ‘On physical update’ is not selected for the number group.

Figure 112: Setup of correction for Batch manufacturing date

Update batch manufacturing date: This will activate the fields for setting up date correction. It is not possible to access the field if the parameter ‘On physical update’ is set to YES.

Status: The wanted status at which the manufacturing date for a production/batch order will be updated. The update will be performed when the production/batch order is given the status. If the status ‘Report as finished’ has been selected, you can choose to update the batch manufacturing date via the following 3 methods of Reporting as finished against a batch- or production order: 1. Via the Report as finished option on the order 2. Via a Report as finished journal 3. Via the Report as finished menu item option in the Warehousing app

NOTE : Regardless of the status settings, it is when the order is updated to the chosen status, that the date update occurs, this means e.g., for the status Report as finished that the field ‘Report as finished’ (end) in the RAF journal has the be ticked YES for the status and subsequently the Manufacturing date to be updated as per setup of the Tracking number group of the item.

Calculation date: The selected date used as 'basepoint' when updating the manufacturing date is carried out. The available setup options are:

System date: The date for the change of status

Delivery date: The delivery date assigned for the production/batch order

Start date: The scheduled start date calculated for the production/batch order (Note: Status must be Scheduled or more with this option)

End date: The scheduled end date calculated for the production/batch order (Note: Status must be Scheduled or more with this option)

Offset workdays: The number of days the manufacturing date must be offset from the date of update. The date will be controlled by a calendar. The number of days can be negative as well as positive.

Workday’s calendar: The calendar that will be used for calculation of the date according to the offset of workdays. Only open workdays will be used in the calculation.
