Setup

Dawid Kaczmarek Updated by Dawid Kaczmarek

The reference type of Advanced Quality Associations that are taken in consideration are:

  • Purchase orders
  • Production (production/batch orders)
  • Route operations
  • Co-product productions (co-products on batch orders planned as co-product on a regular batch order or one created for a planning item)
  • Quality samples

For each reference type the simulation is executed for planned as well as existing (open) data, where the trigger point for the advanced quality association has not yet passed.

For simulation of time needed for quality work, the setup of resource requirement for resource and time for each test in the test group triggered will be used.

To support situations where quality samples are created either manually or via an external system (e.g., a manufacturing execution system (MES)) and where subsequently no advanced quality association records exist for creation of quality samples, a setup on the released product can be made for simulation purposes.

NOTE: This can only be done for products that are set up with a tracking dimension group where the tracking dimension 'Batch number' is active.

The setup is done, by adding a 'Sample simulation group ID' to the released product on the ‘Plan’ fast tab page. The 'Sample simulation group' can be set up with the following information:

  • Sample group Id (ID of the sample group)
  • Description (Brief description of the sample group)
  • Reference type (The type of reference to simulate samples – Purchase / Production / Route operation / Co-product production)
  • Quality status (The wanted quality status for simulated samples)
  • Sequence type (Type of sequence for simulation (Batch; Product; Batch-Product))
  • Frequency type (Frequency or Timespan)
  • Frequency (Frequency for sample creation – only available for frequency type = Frequency)
  • Timespan (Time span in centi hours between simulated sample creation – only available for frequency type = Timespan as well as Reference type 'Production')
  • Calendar (Calendar to be used for simulation of samples – only available for frequency type = Timespan)

Planned Sample groups can be created and setup using the following path:

Sample simulation group with Vendor quality status

NOTE: Requires the modules 'Vendor Quality Management' and 'Advanced Vendor Handling' on top of the Quality and Sample Management module

If you, on top of the Quality and Sample Management module also have installed the Vendor Quality Management and the Advanced Vendor Handling packages, you have access to the added functionality of being able to use 'Vendor quality status' on AVA's (Advanced Vendor Approvals). This means that you can allocate a certain Vendor quality status to manually created samples, that have been created through the simulation job being run, and if you then have adv. quality associations setup for the reference type 'Quality sample' with various vendor quality status, you can trigger the creation of adv. quality orders for samples with this one status code, this can be used if you e.g. want to setup a different frequency/less time gap between sample creations if the quality status is less than the standard:
