GDM Security setup

GDM comes with a Cepheo Global Data Management administrator role out of the box. The role allows to:

  • Create and maintain base setup/periodic tasks of the GDM module
  • Access push/pull operations and see record updates
  • Keep track of GMD activities through GDM monitoring workspace

If a different security setup is required, it needs to be managed through standard D365FO security framework using available privileges. For instance, a custom role that contains “Pushing data from the global company account to local accounts” privilege would only allow push/pull of data on the data pages granted for the user through other roles/duties/privileges. It would not grant access to full administration of the GDM module (as specified above).
