Notification contacts

Navigate to Cepheo® > Shipment booking > Notification contacts

A Notification contact is the contact person for the receiver at the drop off location.

The Notification will be copied to the Shipment booking if the source is a Sales order, Shipment, Item requirement, Project or Delivery address.

A Name is the only requirement for creating a Notification contact. It is NOT possible to only save a phone number or an email.
The search sequence for finding a Notification contact for a Shipment booking is: (1) Shipment, (2) Item requirement, (3) Sales order, (4) Delivery address, (5) Project, (6) Customer

Easy maintenance of Notification contact in forms

Easy maintenance of Notification contacts has been implemented in many forms.

Create a Notification contact

Click on the plus icon (+) after the Notification contact ID to open the Create notification contact dialog.

Enter the contact details and click Save to create the Notification contact .

Lookup a Notification contact

The lookup form has a filter where you can select which Notification contacts to be shown.

"Contact for" shows the contacts for the current party (Customer or Vendor)

"Delivery address" shows the contacts related to the current delivery address

"Project" shows the contacts related to the current project

Maintain a Notification contact

Changes on a Notification contact will change all records referencing the Notification contact ID

Click on the pencil icon to open the Notification details fields for editing.

Switch between the mobile phone and landline by clicking on the button after the Telephone/Mobile phone field.

Set default Notification contact on Customers

It is possible to set a default Notification contact on a customer. This Notification contact will be copied to the Sales Order on create.

Navigate to Accounts receivable > Customers > All customers in the Modules menu.

In the form navigate to the Cepheo > Notification contact

Set default Notification contact on Project

It is possible to set a default Notification contact on a project. This Notification contact will be copied to the Sales Order or Item requirements on create or when project is changed.

Navigate to Project management and accounting > Projects > All projects in the Modules menu.

Set default Notification contact on an Item requirement

It is possible to a Notification contact on an Item requirement.

Navigate to Project management and accounting > Projects > All projects in the Modules menu.

Select your project and click on the button Item requirements (Plan > Item requirements > Item requirements).

In the Item requirements form select the Item requirements to be edited and navigate to Cepheo > Notification contact.

Set default Notification contact on an Address

It is possible to set a default Notification contact on an address. This Notification contact will be copied to the Sales Order or Item requirements on create or when the delivery address is changed.

How to edit a customer address

  1. Navigate to Accounts receivable > Customers > All customers.
  2. Select the customer whose address you want to edit.
  3. Edit the Address:
    • On the customer details page, go to the Addresses fast tab.
    • Select the address you want to edit and click Edit.

How to edit a project address

  1. Navigate to Project management and accounting > Projects > All projects.
  2. Select the project for which you want to edit the address.
  3. Edit the Address:
    • On the project details page, go to the Addresses fast tab.
    • Select the address you want to edit and click Edit.

Edit Notification contact on address

In the Edit address dialog navigate to the Notification contact group.

Maintain Notification contact on Sales orders

Navigate to Sales and marketing > Sales orders > All sales orders in the Modules menu.

Create Sales order

In the form navigate to button +New

It is possible to edit the Notification contact when creating a Sales order. The default Notification contact is copied from the selected Delivery address, Project or Customer.

In the form navigate to Sales order > Header > Cepheo > Notification contact

Maintain Notification contact on Shipments

Notification contact is copied from Sales order to Shipment if the shipment is created from a Sales order.

Navigate to Warehouse management > Shipments > All shipments in the Modules menu.

In the All shipments form find the Shipment to be edited and click on the Shipment ID. It will open the form Shipment details.

In the form Shipment details navigate to Cepheo > Notification contact
