Run Capitalized interest wizard

The Capitalized Interest wizard is available through the Cepheo Module under Cepheo Project Management. This wizard allows you to calculate and process capitalized interest for selected projects and periods.

Period Selection and Project Filtering

When you open the Capitalized Interest wizard, you'll first need to configure the calculation parameters:

Select the period for which you want to run the calculation. The blue ribbon will display the status showing how many projects have been found for the selected criteria.

Project Manager filtering: If you select a specific project manager, the wizard will only include projects assigned to that manager. When the manager role is configured in the security parameter setup, the wizard will default to your user as the project manager when opened.

Press Next to proceed with your selection, or Cancel to exit the wizard.

Transaction Review and Exclusion

After confirming your selection, the wizard initially displays no transaction details, although it has identified which projects to include. To view all transactions that will be included in the calculation, press Refresh List.

In the refreshed list, you can delete and exclude transactions that should not be included in the calculation.

If you remove transactions from this list, they will reappear the next time you run the wizard for the same period or any later period. For transactions that should not have been included due to incorrect project assignment, make the necessary adjustments in the project module instead. These adjustments will be reflected in the wizard automatically.

Once you have reviewed and adjusted the transaction list, press Next to continue.

Final Review and Processing

In the final step, you can:

  • Select View Projects to see additional project details
  • Press Finish to create the transactions ready for journal creation

Once you press Finish, the wizard will generate the capitalized interest transactions, which will then be available for journal processing through Cepheo Capitalized interest transactions.
