Packaging management on a sales/purchase order

When a sales/purchase order is created, the packaging information related to the customer/vendor and address is copied to the sales order and can be found under Sell\Shipping packaging\Set up.

Additionally, 3 fact boxes are available, which calculate the outgoing packaging, the expected ingoing/returned packaging, and the already registered packaging quantities for the order. Every time a sales order line is updated, calculation is performed. If the fact boxes are not shown, resources are not being used to calculate the values.

These fact boxes and their data could e.g., be used if you are using manual registering either in the client or using the warehousing app. functionality and could provide an overview of the utilization of space on e.g., a truck.

For the outbound packaging it can be selected to base the calculation on the following order quantity: Ordered quantity (qty from the order line), Deliver remainder (reduced inventory transaction related to each order line), Deliver now (deliver now qty from each order line).

For the already registered packaging it can be selected to base the calculation on the following quantity: All (everything registered at this time), Not yet updated (remaining packaging awaiting update).
