Preparing disposal of archived samples

Path: (Quality \ Periodic \ Quality management) As a clean-up function it is possible to look for ‘Archived’ samples and give them the status ‘to disposal’.

The purpose of this feature is to find samples that represent batches that have expired recently or have been expired for a while and prepare them for disposal to clean up the sample inventory.

The sample form can then be used to search and update the samples that are disposed of when the physical action has been performed, by using the status ‘To disposal’ and ‘Disposed’. If set up and used correctly, each sample type will hold the information of site, warehouse, and location where the sample type can be found.

The query can be modified with various criteria and run with or without updating the status actual sample status:

This will result in a small Infolog, which shows the samples that can be ‘Disposed’. The ‘Run with update’ value shows if an actual update was performed.
