Menus for the planner

To support the production planner, the "Firm consolidated batch orders" form has been extended with a number of menus. The menus are a combination of information available for the specific item number, and information for a planned order record.

Even if it is possible for the user, it is not recommended to perform any update/recalculation of the master plan from this form, as this will result in new planned order Id for the records being shown.

Changes in planned quantity

When making change in the planned quantity for packed orders, the possibility for changing the 'Extended quantity' (Qty expressed in Bulk item unit) has been introduced . When updating the value of "Extended Qty", the "Make Qty" will be recalculated, also being recalculated are the totals for the planned consolidated batch order. This way both fields for quantity on a packed order is now available for editing.

If the "Make Qty" is changed to a quantity not supported by a formula version the formula, the "Extended Qty" will be left "blank" and thereby the packed order line is no longer part of the allocated quantity for the bulk. As soon as the "Make Qty" is changed back to a quantity value supported by an approved formula version, the "Extended Qty" will be shown and also be part of the allocation.

Firm to existing consolidated batch order

When selecting planned orders to be firmed as consolidated orders, the possibility to firm into existing consolidated batch orders is introduced.

When working in the planned order form, the menu button "Firm to consolidated order" is available. This will present the form for "Firm consolidated batch orders" showing the selected planned orders.

Before firming can be done, the user must select the existing consolidated batch order the planned orders should be part of. Only existing consolidated batch orders that match the bulk item and are not closed, will be available in the lookup for consolidated batch orders.
