Journal imports

Navigate to Cepheo® > Ledger import > Journal imports in the Modules menu.

The Journal Imports allows users to define, configure, and maintain Journal Imports that control how ledger data files are processed and imported.

General

Description

Journal import

A unique ID for the journal import definition

Name

Name of the journal import definition

Parser rule

Choose Parser rule that determines how files are parsed.

Currency

Default currency which is set on Ledger journal lines if no currency is specified in the file

Import files asynchronous

Use this option for large files

Ledger

Field
Description

Journal name

Select which Ledger journal type is used on the journal

Ledger filter

All

  • All lines are imported into the journal

Lines without project

  • All lines, without a value in the field selected "Project staging field", are imported into the journal

Journal line description prefix

Any value added will be set as prefix in the description field on the Ledger journal line

Journal line description suffix

Any value added will be set as suffix in the description field on the Ledger journal line

Project

Field
Description

Project journal name

Select which Project journal type is used on the journal

Project filter

Lines with project

  • All lines, with a value in the selected field "Project staging field", are imported into the journal

All

  • All lines are imported into the journal

Force project mapping

Only enable this if ALL project numbers must be transformed during import

Project staging field

Select which field contains the project number

Category staging field

Select which field contains the project category ID
