This article describes how you can use the Cepheo journal import framework to manage imports of files to project expense journals and ledger journals.

The Cepheo Journal import process consists of the following concepts:

  • Parser rules - A parser rule is used to convert file content into records in the imported transactions table.
  • Journal imports - A journal import is a company based setup of how and where the imported transactions should be posted.
  • Journal import groups - A Journal import group is a collection of journal imports and are used to distribute the imported transactions to many companies.
  • Access keys - An access key is used to connect to an Azure file share where new and archive files are stored.

Enable feature (Preview) Cepheo Journal import process workspace to get access to Cepheo Journal import process

Navigate to Cepheo® > Workspaces > Cepheo Journal import process

Batch runs with errors (last 30 days)

View all file import batch jobs that has failed the last 30 days.

Files with errors

View all imported files where one or more transaction could not be imported or imported transactions could not create ledger transactions.

Files ready for Ledger journals

View all imported files that are ready to be imported to Ledger journals.

Files ready for Project journals

View all imported files that are ready to be imported to Project journals.

Open ledger journals

View all not posted Ledger journals that has been created from imported transactions.

Open project journals

View all not posted Project journals that has been created form imported transactions.

The list Journal imports - all companies contains all Journal imports for all companies, except Journal import used in Journal import groups.

Create and starts a batch job that imports files from Azure storage.

Only enabled if connection to azure is setup on the Journal import.

Pause

Pause the active batch job that imports files from Azure storage.

Recurrence

Setup recurrence of the import files batch job

This list Journal import groups contains all journal import groups.
