Consolidated batchorders

When using the "Firm and consolidate" routine in Dynamics 365 for operations a number of features has been introduced, to support the planner in taking the correct decisions and making the firm process easier.

When selecting the planned batch orders to be consolidated, the planner now has the possibility to select the planned batch orders by selecting the planned packed orders or the planned bulk orders or a combination. When choosing the "Firm and consolidate" function for the selected planned batch orders, the system will now select the missing packed or bulk orders automatically. This is done according to the planned batch orders selected by the user.

For the below examples, the following data structure are used: Raw material are used in Bulk. Bulk are used in Finished product. BulkA can only be used in FP-001, but BulkB can be used in FP002 or FP-003.

After running master scheduling, a number of planned orders are generated for FP-001 and FP-002, but not for FP-003. The result will look like this.

When working in the form [ Production control / Common / Consolidated batch orders ] calculation of quantity for the batch orders included in the consolidated order, is now available. When adding or removing bulk or packed orders to/from the consolidated batch order, the calculation of the allocated/unallocated quantities will be updated.
