Set up a mobile device menu items for receiving processes

The triggering of quality control processes (take sample and register test result) may be configured for specific Mobile device menu items. For selected work creation processes, the system displays an additional option called Use quality control process.

This option is set to No by default.

When it is changed to Yes, the mobile device will offer the user the possibility to take a sample and/or register test results for an advanced quality order.

As mentioned earlier, in these processes the module does not create samples or quality orders. It only allows users to take a sample and/or record quality test results. The logic for creating samples and quality orders is defined in Advanced Quality Associations.

There is a specific group of processes that can be configured in a different way. These are processes directly related to the receipt of purchase orders, represented by the following work creation processes:

  1. Purchase order line receiving
  2. Purchase order line receiving and put away
  3. Purchase order item receiving
  4. Purchase order item receiving and put away
  5. License plate receiving
  6. License plate receiving and put away
  7. Mixed license plate receiving
  8. Mixed license plate receiving and put away

For the menu items used in these processes, it is possible to force the triggering of sample collection and/or the registration of test results by using the Force advanced quality control in warehouse PO receiving option. This option is available on the Advanced quality control tab in the Advanced quality control parameters form (Path: Quality > Setup > Advanced quality control parameters), as shown in the screenshot below:

If the Force advanced quality control in warehouse PO receiving option is set to Yes, it is not possible to disable the triggering of the Take sample and Register test result steps for menu items created for the work creation processes listed above. If the configuration defined in the Advanced quality associations indicates that a sample and/or an advanced quality order must be created in a given process, then the button to take the sample and to register the test results will be shown regardless of the settings on the corresponding Mobile device menu item. Moreover, if the Force advanced quality control in warehouse PO receiving flag is set to Yes, then for the listed processes this option cannot be selected, it is not displayed on the form, as shown in the picture below.
