Register test results

Michał Wasiewicz Updated by Michał Wasiewicz

Registering test results for advanced quality order lines can be performed in three places:

  1. The standard Register form - the action triggered directly from a advanced quality order, the same as for the standard quality order.
  2. Using the Warehouse Management app - either as part of another operational process or as a standalone action,
  3. Using the dedicated Register test results form - which provides a simplified interface for entering results based on a sample ID, batch number, or other identifiers

Analogically to standard quality orders, the registration of test results for advanced quality orders is performed after pressing the Register button, as shown in the figure below.

Register test result using the Warehouse Management app

CEPHEO Quality and Sample Management module introduces an improvement to the inspection process by allowing users to register test results for lines of an advanced quality order directly in the Warehouse management mobile app. This solution removes the need to use the browser interface during warehouse operations, which significantly increases the efficiency of the warehouse staff.

The system enables entering test results in two ways:

  1. Extension of the inbound process - registration of results as a direct continuation of the standard purchase receipt process. A detailed description of this flow is provided in the chapter Set up a mobile device menu items for receiving processes.
  2. Dedicated menu items - using mobile operations available in the device menu. A detail description of this processes is provided in the chapter Set up a mobile device menu item for registering or adding test results.
Register test results using the Register test result form

The Register test results form provides an easy way to enter test results based on a sample ID or batch number etc. The form introduced in the CEPHEO Quality and Sample Management module is available under the Register test result button, as shown in the figure below.

This form can also be opened from the menu: Quality > Common > Register test resul

The upper part of the form includes a filter section that supports both manual entry and barcode scanning of sample labels or quality order labels, ensuring quick access to the relevant test result lines. The section is shown in the figure below:

After selecting the specific test for which the quality inspection result should be entered and pressing the New action, the user can enter the result of the performed test and the quantity for which this result has been registered, as shown in the figure below.

The behavior of the Result quantity field depends on the Manual test result quantity parameter, which is located on the General tab. This setting is defined at the level of the Test group configuration, as shown in the figure below.

This flag is also visible at the level of the specific test within the advanced quality order, as shown in the figure below.

Case #1 - The Manual test result quantity is set to NO

If the user adds another test, the system will automatically calculate the value in the Result quantity field. With this configuration, it is a simple mathematical operation: sample size divided by the number of tests (Quantity / number of registered tests), as shown in the example below.

Case #2 - The Manual test result quantity is set to YES

In this type of configuration, the system does not populate the Result quantity field. This value must be entered by the user. In this case, for each provided test result, the system keeps the default value 0 in the Result quantity field, as shown in the figure below.

To prevent registration of test results that are typed wrongly are performing unintended updates for quality orders, a dialog can be presented if the tested value is outside the expected values. The user now must confirm values that will fail the test. This is controlled by a global parameter “Test results data entry warning”. The parameter is found by the following path: Quality > Setup > Advanced quality control parameters – Advanced quality control, as shown in the figure below.

In the Test result data entry warning field the following values are available to select.

  1. None - no warning will be shown (default value)
  2. Priority 1 - warning will be shown for test result of priority 1 tests only
  3. All - warning will be shown for test result for all tests

A sample warning is shown below.
