Packaging management on loads/shipments

Dawid Kaczmarek Updated by Dawid Kaczmarek

When working with WHS processes and handling load and shipments, the fact boxes showing packaging information are now available as well. The calculation of quantities is based on the order lines selected for the load/shipment.

Loads

2 fact boxes are available, which calculate the outgoing packaging qty’s for the load and the already registered packaging quantities. If the fact boxes are not shown, resources are not being used to calculate the values (i.e., packaging is not setup for the vendor/product combination).

For the load packaging it can be selected to base the calculation on the following order quantity: Inventory quantity (qty for the load), Picked quantity (already picked qty from order line(s) in the load).

For the registered packaging it can be selected to base the calculation on the following quantity: All (everything registered at this time), Not yet updated (remaining packaging awaiting update).

NOTE: If you are registering shipping packaging manually for sales orders, you need to state the shipment/load references as it relates to the order/order line since a sales order/-line can be linked to more than one shipment/load:

Shipments

2 fact boxes are available, which calculate the outgoing shipment packaging and the outgoing load line packaging quantities. If the fact boxes are not shown, resources are not being used to calculate the values.

For the shipment packaging and the load line packaging, it can be selected to base the calculation on the following order quantity: Inventory quantity (qty for the shipment), Picked quantity (already picked qty from order line).
