Packaging management for transfer orders

To be able to use packaging management as part of a transfer order flow, the number sequence for transfer order shipping notes must be setup.

If you want the calculation of packaging type and qty to be done automatically, it can be selected in which process the calculation should be performed automatically at shipping and/or at receiving.

If you want to use auto registration, the “From” and “To” warehouses must be setup with information of the packaging group to be used when calculating the type and qty for the packaging. This is done on the warehouse address used for delivery, using the menu “Packaging management”

Packaging unit on transfer orders

In a previous update the field has become mandatory.

The unit is taken from the inventory unit on the released product.

For released products with the catch weight item parameter under Manage inventory -> catch weight toggled to "yes" the unit is taken from the CW unit field.

Enable manual input of packaging unit.

The auto-fill of packaging unit can be disabled if there is a need for manually inputting a packaging unit on transfer orders.

Go to Shipping packaging management setup -> transfer orders and toggle the parameter "Allow edit packaging unit" to yes.
