Automatic reporting as finished for sub-productions

Assigning a Mix pool to planned orders or batch/production orders, can also be used in combination with the consolidated batch order framework to handle the execution of multiple consolidated batch orders within the same Mix pool.

When carrying out 'Reporting as finished' for a production and using flushing principle for BOM consumption, the on-hand needed from inventory is expected to be available at the time at which the posting of the picking list journal is done.

When working in a production flow, producing finished (packed) products based on one or more levels of sub productions for bulk product using raw material, the standard routine of Dyn365FO is to report quantity as finished from the lowest level in the BOM structure into the inventory and upwards to be able to consume the on-hand on the levels above in the BOM structure. To automate the 'Report as finished' process for sub productions in several levels, functionality is introduced to control the 'Report as finished' quantity for all levels from the 'Reporting as finished' on the top level (Finished product).

If less quantity than planned of the FP is 'Reported as finished' it is assumed that less quantity of the BP/CP will be consumed as well. The quantity for BP/CP is automatically corrected for the last BP production in the production mix pool, according to the decreased consumption.

When setup, the process of reporting the last FP production in a mix pool as finished and end-job mark is selected, the existing BP productions in the mix pool will be end-job marked automatically as well.

If end-mark picking list and/or end-mark route is marked, the existing BP productions in the mix pool will be end-job marked automatically as well.

NOTE: The 'Accept error' marking, will NOT be cascaded to all journals in the mix-pool when posting is done. Any errors need to be resolved for the production/batch order in question, before 'End job' can be done automatically.

This functionality is controlled by a parameter, setup in [Production control / Setup / CEPHEO Process Solution production parameter – Reporting as finished – Auto end job]

NOTE: It is not recommended to use the standard WHS parameters to control overproduction (surplus), and the PI parameters for overproduction at the same time. Only PI parameters will accept automatic end-marking.
