Reporting overproduced quantity as finished from finished product

Dawid Kaczmarek Updated by Dawid Kaczmarek

If a larger quantity than planned of the FP is reported as finished, this means that more of the BP must be consumed as well. If there is not enough of the BP planned in the mix pool, the quantity for BP will be automatically corrected (re-estimation is done for the increased quantity) for the last BP production in the mix pool, according to the increased consumption.

The possibility for allowing automatic overproduction of bulk products, will be controlled by a percentage setup for the Item. The information will be inherited to BOM/formula version "Over report as finished" which will be inherited to the production-/Batch orders using the BOM/Formula version. The default value for 'Over report as finished' is 0%. The value is considered as a default value and can be edited independently and is rounded up according to the unit's setup of decimals.

NOTE: The standard parameter 'Co-product variations' should be set to 'NO' (default) on formula versions if you are planning to use the Auto-report as finished-functionality in connection with Co-products, as the functionality in this module will handle the increase/decrease of co-products that can be Reported as finished.

Information of the original released quantity for the production is introduced. This will be used as reference when performing control for allowed overproduction. When working with planning item, this information will not be available.

Functionality for automatic overproduction, will also be available when using normal routines (non-Production mix-controlled orders) for reporting as finished, both when using Dyn365FO or the Warehousing App.

NOTE! It is not recommended to use the standard WHS parameters to control overproduction (surplus), and the PI parameters for overproduction at the same time. Only PI parameters will accept overproduction for automatic reporting as finished.
