Set sample status

In Cepheo Sample and Quality Management each sample is in one of the defined statuses, starting from the default status, which is Created. The sample status can be changed directly on the Quality samples form, as shown below:

A more streamlined solution associates sample status changes with physical material flow, performed by warehouse workers directly from the mobile app. For this purpose, the Set sample status activity code has been introduced for use in mobile device menu setup.

This process can be handled in two different ways:

  1. System directed - the menu item defines which sample status the change is applied to. In this case, the warehouse worker does not have the option to select a different status.
  2. User directed - the warehouse worker can decide which status should be assigned to a given sample.
System directed logic

To use System directed logic, for the menu item with Activity code = Set sample status, select the desired Sample status in the Status field (this code will be assigned to the selected sample). In this case, the Allow select sample status field must be set to No. An example of such a configuration is shown below:

User directed logic

To use User directed logic, for the menu item with Activity code = Set sample status, set the Allow select sample status flag to Yes. An example of such a configuration is shown below:
