Managing data

Depending on the parameters on the table setup (see 4.1 Table setup) it might be possible to create and edit master data in the global company from the local company.

By pressing Create data or Edit data on the menu, the same form will open in the global company.

When the data is created\edited in the global company, it can be automatically pulled to the local company, from which the creation process was launched. To set up this feature go to Global data management -> Setup -> GDM parameters > General and choose a value in Pull data

  • Ask: the system will ask a user whether to pull or not the data, that was just created\edited in the global company to the local company
  • Pull: the system won’t ask a user whether to pull or not the data, that was just created\edited. This new data will be pulled automatically to the local company
  • Don’t pull: the system won’t automatically pull new data to the local company and won’t ask a user to do that or not.
