In this case the Currency on the CustTable (customers) will be given different values in different companies.

If the Overwrite global value is set to 'Yes' and the fields replication type is ‘Global’ the global accounts value will be overwritten otherwise it will be kept.

It is important to set up default values on shared tables that contain fields with data area Id eg.:

  • InventItemGroupItem: ItemGroupDataAreaId
  • InventModulGroupItem: ItemGroupDataAreaId
  • Project posting: BorrowingLegalEntity and LendingLegalEntity

There’s a dedicated field that will apply correct values for ItemDataAreaId field (for instance, in InventItemGroupItem or InventModelGroupItem tables) and it needs to be configured on top of the default values setup (available in GDM Table setup tab, Data area field). ItemDataAreaId cannot be part of the default values setup at the same time.

Item Data Area Id

The item related shared tables must be setup with relation to InventTable and with default values referring to the data area id and group data area id.

ItemDataAreaId will be inserted automatically when adding a new local company to the Cepheo GDM setup, but ItemGroupDataAreaId must be inserted manually.

If these fields are left blank, the value will automatically be set with the default company (GDM company), which will result in errors in e.g. the cost calculation process.

ItemGroupDataAreaId must be added to the tables:
