Global data management setup

The Cepheo GDM Management form is the main setup form.

Click Area Page node: Global data management -> Management.

The Cepheo GDM form consist of 3 fast tabs: Table setup, Field setup and Relation.

Click Global data management -> Management -> Maintain -> Recreate company updates

This function allows updating the existing list of record updates for a table: create new records or/and delete excessive ones. It can be used when in cases where:

This function allows updating the existing list of record updates for a table: create new records or/and delete excessive ones. It can be used when in cases where:

  • Record updates have been deleted manually and need to be restored for further processing
  • Record updates list needs to be aligned with the current state of setup (see parameter: Minimize Record updates)

When used, Company id can be provided to greatly limit the number of operations and improve the perfomence. When specific Company id is specified, it would only take care of the record updates linked to that. Alternatively, leaving the Company id field blank will trigger recreation of all record updates, for all available companies configured within GDM.

This function would also be initiated when making changes to the setup of Company groups. System will run Recreate Company updates every time there’s:

  • Company group added or deleted from the table definition
  • Company id added or deleted from the Company group definition

When updating changes to record updates based on Company groups’ changes, a job limited to just the affected company ids would be run for improved performance.
