Printer setup for packing slip (Preview)

Enable feature (Preview) Cepheo Shipment booking Packing slip report

First, ensure that the feature (Preview) Cepheo Shipment booking Packing slip report is enabled in your system.

Create a dummy document layout

Navigate to Warehouse management > Setup > Document routing > Document routing layouts

Create a simple document layout without any specific layout elements. This dummy layout will serve as a connector between the printer, warehouse (WHS) worker, and Mobile device item.

Setup document routing for Shipment booking

Navigate to Warehouse management > Setup > Document routing > Document routing

  1. In the Work order type field, select Shipment booking
  2. Create a search sequence by specifying a combination of Warehouse and Mobile device user ID.
  3. Create a new record in the Document routing printers section. Use the empty Document routing layout you created in the previous step and link it to your desired printer.
Mobile device user ID can be left empty, but you can use it to assign a specific user to a dedicated printer.

Add the document layout to the Mobile device menu item

Navigate to Warehouse management > Setup > Mobile device > Mobile device menu items

The packing slip layout can only be applied to mobile device items with Work order process Cepheo container packing
Packing slips will only be printed for menu items that have a Packing slip layout specified.
  1. Find the menu item(s) with Cepheo container packing in the field Work creation process.
  2. Add the dummy document layout to the mobile device menu item(s) in the Packing slip layout field.
  3. In the Packing slip report source field, you can select which data source to use for generating the packing slip:
    1. Select Sales order to print the Sales order packing slip.
    2. Select Shipment booking to print the Shipment booking packing slip.
