Setup batch jobs

Frank Pedersen Moe Updated by Frank Pedersen Moe

To ensure that the quality of our IP models and the information exchanged between your system and our system are aligned we require that a few recurring batch jobs are running.

On click setup

A new function for making the setup of these 3 batch jobs easier has been introduced, it is found here:

Cepheo® > Tools > Setup > Foundation shared parameters

Here you only need to click the "Schedule cepheo batch jobs" button and the 3 jobs are automatically created.

The 3 jobs that then will be running are the following:

  • Cepheo upload model info to azure (weekly)
  • Cepheo upload license info to azure (monthly)
  • Cepheo activate installed models (weekly)
The batch jobs can also be started manually, details is found in the next sections.

Cepheo upload model info to azure

To start the batch job go to Cepheo® > Tools > Our custom modules and click "Upload model info to azure"

Enable Batch processing and set Recurrence to once a week, the upload takes a few seconds.

The information uploaded is the same as you will find in the top right corner behind the question mark, under About and Versions

NB! Information about Microsoft models are not uploaded

Cepheo upload license info to azure

For keeping track of license cost we have developed a tool for you as a customer to track your license usage month by month. Uploading this information to azure helps us follow your license usage so we can take the appropriate actions if for instance you are paying for too many licenses.

To start the batch job go to Cepheo > Tools > License overview and click "Upload license info to azure"

Enable Batch processing and set Recurrence to once a month, the upload takes a few seconds

The information uploaded is the same as you will find here: Cepheo® > Tools > License summary upload log

Cepheo activate installed models

If you are using any licensed models this batch jobs also need to be running on a weekly basis.

To start the batch job go to Cepheo > Tools > Setup > Foundation shared parameters and click "Activate installed models"

Enable Batch processing and set Recurrence to once a week, the sync with azure takes only a few seconds

NB! On UAT/STAGE and dev/test environments this just needs to be run once (no batch/recurrence)
NB! If a data refresh is done from production environment to UAT/STAGE the "Activate installed models" must be run once again

How did we do?
