Accessing Forecast Distribution

To begin using forecast distribution, navigate to the Cepheo banner and select Forecast Distribution.

Overview

When you open forecast distribution, a form appears on the right side of the screen. This form provides an overview of forecast lines in the subproject accumulated amounts. As the project manager, you are expected to distribute this total amount across different fiscal periods.

Managing Years

Use the Years button to manage your fiscal periods:

  • Add years from a predefined set
  • Add one additional year manually

Distributing Amounts

For each line in the form, you can:

  • Input specific amounts to distribute to each year
  • Enter percentages for distribution
  • Use automatic distribution by selecting "Distribute Even" to spread the total amount equally across all years

Percentage Breakdown Display

At the bottom of the form, you can view a detailed percentage breakdown derived from the subproject forecast lines. This breakdown shows how your distribution translates into proportional allocations across the selected fiscal periods.

Automated Forecast Generation

The system creates forecast data based on your forecast data model mapping:

  • Two forecast lines are generated in the accumulated forecast model (one for hours and one for expense)
  • Proportional splits for both hours and expenses are created automatically based on the percentage distribution from your subprojects
The proportional calculations ensure that both time and cost allocations remain consistent with your specified distribution percentages dervied from the subproject forecasts.
